Discipline Hearing - 15 Oct 2009

The purpose of the hearing was to investigate an incident that occurred on 22nd August 2009 in the Division Two West match between Aston Rowant CC and Basingstoke & North Hants CC.

After consideration of written and oral statements from the relevant parties the Disciplinary Panel issued the following verdicts:

1. Timothy Miles of Aston Rowant CC was found guilty of a Level 4 breach of discipline involving an assault of another player. He is banned for a period of one year commencing 1st October 2009. He is also subject to a further ban of one year commencing 1st October 2010. This latter ban is suspended but will become effective immediately, should he commit any further breach of discipline in the period up to 30th September 2011.

2. Dean Nurse of Basingstoke & North Hants CC was found guilty of a Level 4 breach of discipline involving an assault of another player. He is banned for a period of one year commencing 1st October 2009. He is also subject to a further ban of one year commencing 1st October 2010. This latter ban is suspended but will become effective immediately, should he commit any further breach of discipline in the period up to 30th September 2011.

3. The Panel places a reprimand on the record of both captains, Wesley Morrick of Aston Rowant CC and Russell Droy of Basingstoke & North Hants CC.

4. The Panel deducts 25 points from the total points attained by each club in the 2009 season.
