Cross unable to live with leaders

28/06/2008 - Gerrards Cross suffered their second successive defeat, when they were handed a seven-wicket thrashing by league leaders Farnham Royal.

Berg shows Falkland no mercy

28/06/2008 - A breathtaking 159 from Middlesex all rounder Gareth Berg and 5-44 from team mate Kabir Toor was to much for Falkland to handle. Berg took his weekend run total to 312 with a mesmerising 153* in the Evening Standard Challenge Trophy at Cobden Hill.

Gerrards Cross fall well short

21/06/2008 - Gerrards Cross suffered their second defeat of the season against Burnham following a disappointing batting display. Some last minute, enforced team changes meant the Cross were not at full strength, but should still have been able to threaten the Burnham’s total.

Red-hot Walker cannot save Radlett

21/06/2008 - Felix Walker starred for Radlett claiming 7 - 49 in 18 overs. Unfortunately he didn't have the backing of Radlett's batsmen as they slid to a 37 run defeat at home to Tring Park.

Thame distracted by lunch

21/06/2008 - Thame Town crashed after lunch, losing 7 wickets for just 39 runs, and then finally succumb to a seven-wicket defeat against a well-organised and disciplined Farnham Royal at Church Meadow.

Shahbaz haul in vain

21/06/2008 - Skipper Shahbaz Ali's six-wicket haul couldn't save basement boys Kidlington from a 149-run hammering by Basingstoke & North Hants at Stratfield Brake.

Five-star Brooks

21/06/2008 - Seamer Jack Brooks starred with 5-46 as Oxford bounced back to winning ways with an emphatic six-wicket win over lowly Falkland at Roman Way.

Hemel's last pair block out draw

14/06/2008 - An exciting, if at times tetchy, match ended in a draw on Saturday. Both sides very much relied on one of their opening batsmen to anchor their respective innings. For Hertford Tom Bancroft was last out for 91 and Hemel's opener, Hemish Ilangaratne, was ninth out for 88, both batting for almost exactly three hours. The highest contribution from another batsmen on either side was a mere 26.

Radlett tail denies Henley

14/06/2008 - Radlett had to battle for a draw at Henley. Reduced to 44-6, Tom Jenkins (50) and Paul Barker (56) combined to take Radlett close to a draw and it was finally left to Atul Sachdeva and Robbie Crocker to denying the hosts.

Purewal leads Cross Comeback Kids

14/06/2008 - Gerrards Cross produced one of the great comebacks to beat Basingstoke by 74 runs. 160 runs from the last 3 wickets rescued the innings when all seemed lost.

Cross owe it to Hughes

07/06/2008 - A fantastic all-round performance by Johnny Hughes gave Gerrards Cross a hard-fought victory against Buckingham Town in a tense contest at Dukes Wood. Hughes claimed a five-wicket haul and scored a crucial half-century in a low-scoring one wicket win.

No dull draw in Herts

07/06/2008 - A thoroughly entertaining day’s cricket culminated in an exciting final hour when either side could have taken the spoils. Radlett’s impressive spinners pulled the Cobden Hill outfit back into the game when Welwyn Garden City were riding high.

Hertford batting fails again

07/06/2008 - Hertford's initial two wins have now been followed by three consecutive defeats - the latest against West Herts. Top order failure left Hertford with too few runs on the board as West Herts duly ran out 7 wicket winners.

Radlett make it 3 wins in a row

31/05/2008 - Finally, a long trip to Banbury yielded success. For the first time, Radlett have won at White Post Road. It took a half century rescue act by Walker and M Crocker to enable Radlett to reach 149. Burger (5-16) and Berg then tore through the Banbury batting to create a memorable 49 run victory.

Dattani Supreme for Stevenage

31/05/2008 - Stevenage’s 1st XI flattened Hertford on their way to a comprehensive 146 run victory which maintains their 100% record for completed games and an impressive start to the season.
